TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA: Celebrated WWE wrestler of the 90s, Mike 'Mantaur' Halac has died at age 55! It was her daughter Demi, who shared the news on social media. 'I'm sorry to break the news that my dad has passed away. He went peacefully in his sleep. He's no longer in pain.” She added in a Facebook Story, “This really hit home to lose my father, he will forever be in my heart and many others. I love you dad. Make the skies beautiful for me.”
Eric Simms of ESS Promotions also reacted to Halac's tragic death over Facebook, “I am sad to report that Mike Halac who played the character Mantaur has passed away.. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family. We had mike booked for 90s wrestling con sept 30 and a full weekend of bookings that weekend.”
How did Mike 'Mantaur' Halac die?
The former-WWE star Mike 'Mantaur' Halac dominated the wrestling arena since making his debut in 1994. During the period when the body was going through experiments, Halac managed to establish himself as one of the most fierce fighters out there. He had a way of donning different catchy outfits, sometimes it was Tank or Goldust’s bodyguard, reports DailyMail.
The official cause of his death is still to be revealed, but as per his close friend and former wrestler Bryan Clark he had recently had a fall, “I'm very saddened to hear the passing of Mike Halac, I messaged him after his fall and while he was in the ER.. he never responded which was very unlike him.” He continued, “I woke to hear the news, Prayers for Big Mike's family, I will always remember our Laughs and I will miss our conversations.”
'I'm down here living my best life'
Halac in an April interview reflected on his present life, and how he is enjoying every bit, “I'm living the good life here in Florida. It's 84 degrees today, the weather here has never been better in 20 years.”
The 55-year-old told Hannibal TV, “I'm soaking up the palm trees, soaking up the beach and I'm excited. I'm down here living my best life. Physically I can't really complain - I could, but who is going to listen? I'll be 55 in a couple of weeks - if I had known then what I know now I would have done things a bit differently.”
