Apex Legends Season 17 has more people in Masters than ever before.
The current state of Apex Legends has left the community demanding changes. The Ranked system received an overhaul in Season 17 that put more emphasis on staying alive than hunting kills. Plus, there is now a static match entry cost (-35) for all ranks as opposed to an increased cost in the higher ranks.
Apex Legends professional player, Christopher "sweetdreams" Sexton, even managed to hit Predator without any weapons. The system is broken, and as a result, just about anyone can make it into Masters.
How Many People Are Masters in Apex Legends?
According to Apex Legends Status tracker, 20% of all Apex Legends Ranked players are in Masters. What should be a difficult feat has become mainstream for players of varying skill levels. The rewarding feeling of reaching Masters has all but disappeared.
Fortunately, Apex Legends developer, Aaron "Exgeniar" L, assured fans he is aware of the game's current downfall and insisted, "You can definitely expect changes next season."
Apex Legends Season 18 does not drop until Aug. 8, though, so players will have to suffer through the unbalanced Ranked system for another month before any changes improve the mode.
