LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Live with Mark and Kelly’ works best because Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa make a great team. If it were only Mark heading his own show, without his wife, it could end up in a PR disaster for the ex ‘Riverdale’ star. Mark and Kelly are loved by many, and a lot of that is because of how they work off each other’s energies, and how Kelly often stops Mark from making blunders on live TV.
While Mark tries his best to say and do the right thing, he still manages to make a few mistakes, big and small, here and there. This is why, Mark also has people constantly advising him on what to say when it comes to talk shows and live TV. On Tuesday, June 6, Mark appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ where he revealed that he needs constant advice from his wife and daughter.
‘You better watch yourself’
Lola Consuelos is Mark and Kelly’s 21-year-old daughter, which means she knows more about celebrity gossip and trends than her parents. This also makes Lola the perfect person to advise her father ahead of his appearances on ‘Live with Mark and Kelly’ and other talk shows he may appear on. ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ had Mark discussing Lola when he admitted, "Yes, Lola texted me when we were going in about the Scandoval episode, and she said, “You better watch yourself,' you better watch what side you're taking because it could be very bad for you.” By the looks of it, Mark might have to hire his own daughter to handle his PR, because he could most certainly use it.
Kelly saves Mark
In addition to his daughter, Mark’s wife and his co-host, Kelly, often save him from making mistakes too. When it comes to ‘Live with Mark and Kelly’ oftentimes Mark has slips and falls, but Kelly is there to help with them. Despite having a lot of television experience, Mark is still finding his footing when it comes to live shows and as he does, he has his wife and daughter to guide him through them. Because if it weren’t for them, he would be discussing his wife’s bedroom secrets…oh wait, that just happened. Guess no one gave him a heads-up for that!
