'I need more': Apple TV+'s cryptic tweet leave fans hopeful about another season of 'Ted Lasso'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+'s international hit sports-comedy drama, ‘Ted Lasso’, recently ended with Season 3 finale. The series delves into themes of resilience, personal growth, and the power of optimism. Although it is heartbreaking to accept that ‘Ted Lasso’ won’t be coming back for another season, especially since Jason Sudeikis has bid farewell to the show and AFC Richmond for good, a recent Twitter post might hint at a comeback.

‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 garnered millions of fans' love and appreciation. Not to mention the finale of Season 3 which nearly left us teary-eyed as the episode titled ‘So Long, Farewell’ featured emotions, goodbyes, and new chapters. Though no announcement has been made regarding another season, still producers of the show haven’t reflected on the end of the sports drama. Moreover, a recent post by Apple TV+ featuring ‘Ted Lasso’s’ characters, namely, Coach Beard, Roy Kent, and Nate Shelley might be an inkling for the fans. Nonetheless, as said by Ted himself, ‘BELIEVE’ and you’ll achieve it.

‘Don’t play with my feelings, that’s not fair!’

After ‘Ted Lasso’ season three ended, Apple TV+ hinted at a ‘Ted Lasso’ spinoff in a Twitter post. The fans of Emmy-winning comedy are excited and thriller since the cryptic tweet went out. On Tuesday, the network posted a photo of Nick Mohammed as Nate Shelley, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, and Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard with a puzzling caption that read, “Smells like potential”.

The posts left fans head over heels over the possibility of a fourth season, but, of course, without Jason Sudeikis. As fans shared their emotions on the post, many of them are hopeful and excited as one Twitter user wrote, “Don't play with my feelings, that's not fair!” While another added appreciating the hit show, “Yes please, I need more. No other show is out there that brings such a wonderful balance of great comedy, dramedy and makes me feel joy by watching”. One more user reflected on Ted’s ‘BELIEVE’ and expressed their hopefulness adding, “I really want to #believe this is not just bait”.

The post alone had left fans bewildered and many of them even suggested a new title for the show or spinoff, highlighting their faith in another season. A ‘Ted Lasso’ fan wrote, “So we might be watching “AFC RICHMOND” “Diamond Dogs” or “Believe” Season 1 on a near future”, while another said, “The Richmond Way" Season One #WhoSaysNo”. One more user pointed at Ted’s review on Trent Crimm’s book in the finale of Season 3 and stated, “It’ll be called “The Richmond Way” after this little nod from Ted’s review of the book…”

Major clues teasing ‘Ted Lasso’s return

At the end of the 75-minute long ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 finale, fans started speculating major clues which might point to another season. One of the clues is Ted leaving a review on Trent Crimm’s book which was originally titled ‘The Lasso Way’, “One small suggestion. I'd change the title. It's not about me. It never was”. This probably hints that the show will be renamed or there might be a spinoff with the original cast. Another major clue is that cast and crew of the show have been giving vague answers about whether there would be season four or not. In March, Jason Sudeikis revealed, “This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell”, in an interview with Deadline. Perhaps, he was talking about his own story?
