NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Following his third indictment, former president Donald Trump has made it loud and clear that he will not be taking a plea deal, as reported by Forbes.
After this statement was put forth by Trump, ‘Morning Joe’ hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski broke it down on Monday. August 14, news segment.
In addition, ‘Morning Joe’ kept up with its Twitter presence, and posted not one, but two different tweets about Trump’s plea deal.
‘Morning Joe’ focuses on Joe Scarborough's statement on Donald Trump
In the first tweet by ‘Morning Joe’, MSNBC was directly linked, where Scarborough and Brzezinski discussed Trump’s plea deal. The tweet however focussed particularly on something that was said by Scarborough himself.
The tweet read, "If Trump's not talking about a possible plea deal right now, he's not a wise guy at all."— @JoeNBC reacts to Trump's denial of what he called a "wise guy" question about whether he would take a plea deal in the investigation into the Jan 6. Insurrection.”
In the second tweet, ‘Morning Joe’ once again tweeted a statement made by Scarborough in that particular segment, “If Trump’s not thinking about a plea deal, he is living on another planet.—@JoeNBC on Trump's growing criminal prosecutions.”
Joe Scarborough faces backlash
After Scarbough’s statements, there has been a trickledown effect that has impacted MSNBC. One person tweeted, “Biden spent the weekend hiding in his beach house hiding from reporters. How much longer will MSNBC try to cover up the growing Biden bribes scandal?” Some have even labeled Scarbough a traitor, “Zip it Joe, you traitor.”
Some people want ‘Morning Joe’ to be canceled altogether as one person responded, “Can’t wait for the show to be canceled lol.” In addition to being called a “traitor,” Scarborough has also been called “Judas” as one person tweeted, “Just who Trump should be listening to, JudasJoe Scarborough.”
