BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate, a polarizing influencer known for his controversial online persona and self-proclaimed title of "toxic masculinity king," has been charged in Romania alongside his brother Tristan Tate with deeply unsettling offenses such as rape, human trafficking, and managing an organized criminal network to exploit women sexually.
Following a criminal inquiry into the alleged mistreatment of seven women, the Tate brothers and two female suspects from Romania are currently under house arrest, though they vehemently deny the accusations. And the Tate brothers were indicted of human trafficking and rape on Tuesday, June 20, six months after their initial arrest in Romania's capital, Bucharest, in December 2022. After being held in police custody until March, he and his brother were subsequently placed under house arrest.
