Is Doja Cat OK? Singer shows off eerie new tattoos, Internet terms her a 'Satanic goddess'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Followers of Doja Cat are wondering if she is okay after the 'Say So' singer showed off her unique body art that is being dubbed as "demonic" and "Satanic." The singer, 27, recently added more eerie body art to her collection, only a few weeks after showing off a large bat skeleton tattoo over her back.

Doja flaunted the new spider inked below her back tattoo in a series of daring topless Instagram photographs she shared on Saturday, June 24. The 'Freaky Deaky' star also posted close-up pictures of a previously unknown tattoo on her right hand that features an uncannily realistic eyeball pierced by a sword.

'She's getting scarier'

The artist behind the 'Freak' singer's most recent tattoos is Mr K from Bang Bang Tattoos, who also shared the healed images of Doja's pieces on his Instagram account. Unsure of what to make of the new tattoos, followers dubbed them "Satanic" in the comments section. "its giving satanic goddess," a fan commented, while another expressed, "Someone please call this woman and make sure she's okay." One fan urged the singer to stop the weird body art, writing, "This is bad doja and it's getting worst just stop it." "Doja is changing… she's getting scarier," another user remarked about the noticeable change in the star.

'She is not worshipping satan'

Others mentioned they loved the new Doja and argued none of her body art is related to Satan. "how are bats and spiders related to satan ? they're just animals. if it was a skeleton of a cat or a dolphin people wouldn't care at all," a fan wrote, while one mentioned, "I don't get the hate, she's just doing her thing." "wait what's satanic about a bat skeleton, spider, and sword going through and eye? and why does what she believe in matter to yall???" argued a fan in Doja's favor. One more follower noted, "idk about yall but i love her new look. she f**king ate with attention and she doesnt exist to serve you guys. she is not worshipping satan." "continue the satan allegations so the tour tickets are cheap please," quipped a fan who's eager to attend one of Doja's shows.

'Your fear is not my problem'

Doja has previously been condemned for getting "demonic" tattoos. Although the singer explained the significance of the design in her initial post, the bat over her back generated just as much controversy. "Bats often represent death in the sense of letting go of the old, and bringing in the new. They are symbols of transition, of initiation, and the start of a new beginning," Doja had written, as per Page Six. The singer had got a tattoo inspired by Fortunio Liceti's 'De Monstris' from 1665 on her arm in April, for which she received a lot of criticism, some even going as far as telling her that she was "selling her soul." She later took to Instagram to post an explanation of the piece's origin and added the statement, "Your fear is not my problem."
