Is Jason Aldean OK? Country singer, 46, abruptly ends Connecticut concert as he runs off stage mid-performance

HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT: Renowned country singer Jason Aldean, 46, stopped his concert at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut midway after suffering a heart stroke. On Saturday, July 15, Aldean who was in the middle of his 2009 hit ‘Crazy Town’ performance, ran offstage leaving many fans puzzled.

The singer's spokesperson said the 'Big Green Tractor' crooner experienced a heat stroke in the middle of the performance, according to Live Nation, the venue's management business. Aldean was performing while wearing his typical ensemble of a t-shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, and a hat. The incident occurred while the artist was performing for more than an hour as part of his current 'Highway Desperado' Tour.

Is Jason Aldean OK?

Following the health scare that Aldean experienced, Xfinity Theatre used their social media accounts to update worried fans on the singer's condition. "Jason has become ill and can't continue the show," they wrote. The performance is currently being tried to be rescheduled. Aldean didn't hold back his audience as The venue notified patrons on Saturday that the concert would be postponed. However, the day has not yet been verified. "Yesterday's Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date," the statement read. It further added, "We value your understanding as we try to find a new date, as well as the many good wishes for Jason."

As the singer was recovering well from the heat stroke, they also provided a positive health update for Aldean. "A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night’s performance. Please stay tuned to all social media channels for updates as they become available," they said.

'I don't think it was quite that serious, but it was pretty intense last night at the show'

On Sunday, Aldean shared an Instagram story where he gave his own account of the incident along with an update. His post read, "Hey, what's up everybody? Jason here, and this is Sunday, I guess. Had a lot of people checking on me after hearing about what happened last night at the show in Connecticut," before adding, "Just want to let you know, thanks to everybody that's called in, checked in."

The singer, who is now in the middle of his 39-stop ‘Highway Desperado Tour’, assured fans, "I'm doing fine," and added, "Just one of those things, man. It was hot. I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show and I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion."

However, he also contended that the term “heat stroke” might be extreme, but the experience was “pretty intense” nonetheless, "I don't think it was quite that serious, but it was pretty intense last night at the show. Anybody that was at the show knows how hot it was, and I don't know. Something just kind of -- I knew it was coming, I was trying to get through as much of the show as I could. Eventually, it was just like, I knew it wasn't going to happen and I was trying to just get off stage and figure out what was going on."

In the clip, he thanked the fans who showed up for Saturday’s gig, "To everybody that came out to the show last night, thank you guys so much for being there. Obviously, it's not the way I wanted the show to end, not what I was hoping for on our first weekend of the tour by any means, but I had a couple of IVs. I had one last night when I came off stage, and I had one today."

Despite taking a “couple of IVs”, Aldean is determined to continue with the tour and informed about the scheduled gig at Saratoga on Sunday, "Got a show in Saratoga tonight. We're gonna play that show, and then we're gonna make the one up to you guys in Hartford as well."

He concluded, "So again, I apologize for cutting the show short, but we'll come back and make it up to you, and I'm feeling a lot, lot better. So, thank you, guys, for checking in, and I don't know. We'll see you tonight."

Some fans also shared the video of Aldean leaving the stage with an update on the temperature inside the theater. One fan wrote, "Even though the #JasonAldean show was cut short tonight, he still put his all into the songs he did perform which made the night worthwhile. An artist’s health and well-being are so important but is often overlooked. These guys aren’t machines. They’re humans too."
