CAIRO, GEORGIA: TLC's exclusive sneak peek into the October 10 episode of 'Welcome to Plathville' shows Kim Plath facing a dilemma. Kim tells a friend about a huge shift in her love life, but she is afraid to tell her own children.
In the upcoming Episode 6, 'Come What May...', with her and Barry's divorce imminent, Kim informs her pal of a huge change in her love life.
Kim admits to being nervous when her friend asks if she's anxious in the video. "I'm terrified," she confesses. "I feel like it’s time for me to kind of talk to the children and let them know that I’m seeing somebody."
But, while it may be time, she is unsure if she is prepared.
Kim said, "I know some people wait until they know they’re going to marry the person to introduce them to their children."
She then added, "I know some people introduce right away, but this is all new to me. I’m trying to figure it out. So I don’t know. It just feels like now is a good time."
Her buddy stated she didn't tell her kids about her love life until she knew he was going to stick around and be in their lives, "but you know your kids better than me."
Who is 'Welcome to Plathville' star Kim Plath dating now?
Kim's connection with her new lover, Ken Palmer, has sparked interest and kept her in the limelight since the conclusion of 'Welcome to Plathville' Season 4.
It was surprising for fans to know that Kim was now dating Ken. In early 2023, they made their relationship public.
Ken, who works as an Aviation Maintenance Instructor at Lively Technical College, turns out to be Isaac Plath's flight instructor.
Ken is also a private pilot and an A&P Technician. Despite the fact that Ken's Instagram is private, Kim's children, notably Isaac, Micah, and Lydia Plath, all follow him on social media.
Ken also has several images of himself flying with Isaac.
Who is 'Welcome to Plathville' star Barry Plath dating now?
Barry does not appear to be dating anybody new at the moment. While he may be open to dating, he lacks an internet presence, making it difficult to predict whether he intends to remarry in the future.
Aside from dating, the Season 5 teaser shows Barry discovering a new passion for fitness, which might lead to new love interests in his life. "Working out — it's my new hobby," Barry explains as he lifts weights with his 22-year-old son, Micah Plath, in the trailer. "The blood flows in, and everything gets bigger."
Why did 'Welcome to Plathville' stars Kim and Barry Plath separate?
Kim and Barry Plath were introduced in Season 1 of 'Welcome to Plathville,' and their relationship has significantly changed in Season 5.
They met at church and became partners, but initially, Kim wasn't interested in having a sexual relationship with Barry. However, she believed that God had shown to her that Barry was the man she was meant to spend her life with.
Eventually, they got married and went on to have nine children
The new season of 'Welcome to Plathville' centers on the lives of Barry and Kim following their divorce. After 24 years of marriage, the pair decided to divorce in 2022.
