Is Millie Bobby Brown ready for 'Stranger Things' to end? Popular Netflix Sci-Fi series renewed for its fifth season

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Millie Bobby Brown has a very bright future waiting ahead of her in Hollywood and it seems to be just a matter of a few years before the young British actress cements herself as one of the topmost performers in the industry.

The 19-year-old gained recognition for playing Eleven in the Netflix series Stranger Things, for which she received nominations for two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Is Mille Bobby Brown ready for Stranger Things to end?

Apparently, Brown is now looking at a career beyond the popular sci-fi show that she began filming at the age of 12. She said that the upcoming fifth season will be its last and she is prepared to move on from her iconic character.

“I think I'm ready,” Brown told Women’s Wear Daily of the show’s imminent end. “It's been such a huge factor in part of my life, but it's like graduating high school, it's like senior year.” Only time is going to tell what lies next for Brown but as of now, she’s ready to step into roles past Eleven, who has become culturally recognizable.

Brown added, "You're ready to go and blossom and flourish and you're grateful for the time you've had, but it's time to create your own message and live your own life."

Will 'Stranger Things' fifth season be shorter than before?

Stranger Things premiered in 2016 and since then it has run for four seasons with the final one briefly in the works before it was postponed due to the ongoing writer's strike.

But that has not stopped Brown from performing in front of the camera as she has starred in a handful of projects, including the Enola Holmes films on Netflix, two 'Godzilla' movies, and the upcoming movies 'Damsel' and 'The Electric State'. Although details regarding the fifth season of the show have not been revealed yet, fans can be assured that it will not clock in at season 4's epic 13-hour run time.

"I don't think it'll be as long," Matt Duffer told TheWrap. "The final few is going to be more like a Return of the Jedi in that … they're going from the beginning. There's going to be less ramp-up. And I think people will understand what I'm talking about when they see the end of this season. It's like, we're just going."

David Harbour also wants to move on from the Netflix show

Brown is not the only star who has expressed a desire to move on from the popular show. David Harbour, who is known for playing Eleven's adopted father Jim Hopper, said the same to Insider.

"The first year of Stranger Things, I remember having a discussion with a publicist and her saying, 'Maybe you don't want to be associated with the show so much,' and I was like, 'Why? I love this show. I love the character,'" he said. "And I do love the show. And I do love the character. But I don't want to be just that character. I don't want to be just that guy."
