PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Shaka Hislop gave a mini heart attack to his friends, family, and fans across the world after he reportedly fell unconscious live on television. The incident happened while the soccer analyst was talking to ESPN’s Dan Thomas during a pre-game report at AC Milan and Real Madrid’s friendly at the Rose Bowl on Sunday night, July 23, in Pasadena, California.

The 54-year-old former Premier League goalkeeper first appeared to be losing his balance before he fell on the ground as Thomas watched in shock, The Daily Mail reported. It has not been cleared yet what led to Hislop’s collapse but as per Accuweather.com, the maximum temperature in Pasadena was 33 degrees Celsius on Sunday while the minimum was 18 degrees Celsius.

Is Shaka Hislop ok?

Not long after the health issue, Thomas came back to let know the viewers that Hislop was doing fine. He reportedly shared, “My mate, Shaka, not here, but as it stands, it's good news. He's conscious, he's talking, and I think he's a little embarrassed about it all. He's apologized profusely. Not a man who likes people to make a fuss of him.”

“Obviously far too early to make any sort of diagnosis, but the important thing is, that Shaka's conscious and we spoke to his family as well because you imagine seeing that happen live. We spoke to his wife and things are looking OK. Silly, Shaka,” he added.
