LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jada Pinkett Smith has drawn immense ire from netizens following a series of explosive interviews before her memoir ‘Worthy’ hits the stands on October 17.
Many fans have even propagated the idea that Will Smith should have gone with Margot Robbie when he had a chance.
Pinkett Smith revealed in an interview with Hoda Kotbe of ‘Today Show’ that she and Will Smith, whom she married in 1997, have been separated for seven years.
The ‘Bad Moms’ star revealed that the power couple have been living "completely separate lives" since 2016.
The mother of two acknowledged in the interview that while they are still legally married, the romantic involvement is no longer present.
When Kotb asked her about the cause of the “fracture” in the relationship, Pinkett Smith explained, “Why it fractured...that — that’s a lot of things ... By the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying.”
She continued, “I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be.”
The ‘Magic Mike XXL’ star further revealed that while she thought of a legal divorce, she could not do it stating, “I made a promise that there will never be a reason for us to get a divorce. We will work through ... whatever,” and added, “I just haven’t been able to break that promise."
In another interview with Rolling Out magazine's Relationships Editor, Christal Jordan, she spilled out that she had a “soulmate friendship” with Tupac Shakur.
Speaking to Jordan, the ‘Angel has Fallen’ star stated, "If there is such a thing as past lives, I definitely think that Pac and I have traveled a few together.”
However, she admitted that though they had a few romantic moments, "there was no chemistry” between the duo, per People.
Following her revelations in her press tour to promote the book, the ‘Red Table Talk’ host has been criticized massively on the internet with several fans championing the idea that Will Smith should have dated ‘Barbie’ star Margot Robbie when he had the chance.

While Smith was married to Pinkett Smith, it was rumored that Smith and Robbie were secretly dating after the fans speculated on the intimate nature of the photographs.
However, the rumor was debunked by both the two parties with the ‘About Time’ actress marrying her boyfriend Tom Ackerley in 2016.
