LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx’s recent "medical complication" has worried his loved ones, who are holding out hopes that he will make a full recovery but are also preparing “for the worst”, according to reports. The 55-year-old Academy Award-winning actor has been in the hospital since April 11 when he experienced what his daughter described on an Instagram post as a "medical complication."

Commenting on the ‘Ray’ star’s health, his Instagram on May 4, shared a message for his fans, reading “Appreciate all the love!!!! Feeling blessed.” However, Foxx’s inner circle is still unsure whether his condition has really changed after the post. “Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving, while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems — but he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK,” said a source close to the star told Radar Online.

Jamie Foxx was a 'total d***' to Cameron Diaz on ‘Back in Action’ set before hospitalization

'He is very lucky to be alive!'

Previously, an insider revealed that Foxx’s condition was extremely severe after his hospitalization. “It was touch and go for days with him, and he had to be revived. He is very lucky to be alive!” a source said, adding that he was likely saved by the relentless efforts of the emergency room physicians. “He’s very lucky he got the treatment he did,” the tipster noted. At that time, another source noted the ‘Amazing Spider man’ star suffers from high blood pressure, which experts claim can cause clots in the brain and lead to a stroke. The actor's health problem, according to the insider, has been "a long time coming."

It was also revealed that Foxx’s medical condition is far from worse than what his team claims. “His friends and family are hoping for the best — but preparing for the worst!” insiders stated. In the wake of his health problems, Foxx was recently placed by Nick Cannon as host of the FOX game show ‘Beat Shazam!’ Nick also expressed concern for his friend and said, “Man, I’m praying. I have been saying prayers out loud.” According to reports, the ‘Collateral’ actor's health was in such bad shape that ‘Back in Action’ producers chose to wrap up shooting without him. The team reportedly used Foxx’s body double to finish his last scenes with co-star Cameron Diaz.

'It's very scary'

These reports came after Foxx’s co-star from the movie ‘All-Star Weekend’, Natasha Blasick gave hopeful updates and revealed how scared she was regarding his health. "I was texting him, and just yesterday I talked to his friend, who's like really in touch with him. I was, like, really freaking out [with] all of the news that he's getting worse. So I was texting [his friend], and he's like, 'No, no, no, he's recovering.' So just hearing that he was recovering made me feel so much better,” she told Entertainment Tonight, adding "I'm just praying. And my friend yesterday reached out to me, and she's like, 'Let's pray together.' I mean, it's really crazy," before adding, "All we have in this world is our health. Our life. So it's very scary."
