Jennifer Aniston's rare medical condition gave Brad Pitt the fright of his life: 'He was terrified'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Aniston holds a secret that most people are unaware of. Behind the glitz and glamour, the star of 'Murder Mystery' has battled numerous sleep-related issues in the past, and it got so bad to the point that she once gave her ex-husband Brad Pitt quite the fright.

Despite adhering to a disciplined exercise and sleep routine, Aniston encountered various challenges when it came to getting a good night's rest. Reports reveal that the actress used to suffer from somnambulism, more commonly known as sleepwalking.

'I set off our alarm once'

In 2004, Aniston shared a terrifying incident from her sleepwalking days that deeply unsettled Pitt. She recounted triggering the house alarm while sleepwalking, exclaiming, "I sleepwalk. I set off our alarm once. I was outside. The alarm scared the s*** out of me, and I woke up, finding myself near the pool equipment in the back," according to Insider.

'I was super sleep-deprived'

'The Good Girl' actress also confessed she had no recollection of how she ended up there, saying, "I don't know what I was doing. I heard this yelling because he [Brad Pitt] is terrified, he hears the alarm and I'm not there." However, it appears her sleeping troubles are finally over. Aniston revealed last year that she no longer experiences sleepwalking episodes, bringing relief to her and those close to her. She stated, "I've been woken up by house alarms going off that I've set off. And I don't think I do that anymore — that was when I was super sleep-deprived."

Sleepwalking was not the only sleep-related challenge that Aniston had to confront. The actress has also battled insomnia over the years. Speaking candidly about her struggle, Aniston disclosed, "I think it started somewhere in my 30s or even earlier, but you just don't start to notice the effects of a lack of sleep when we're younger because we're so invincible." To combat insomnia, she emphasized the importance of establishing a bedtime routine and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, which greatly contributed to improving the quality of her sleep.
