LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: According to sources, when singer Katharine McPhee was tugged to sit on Russell Brand's lap during a 2013 interview with Jimmy Fallon, she didn't realize he was acting maliciously.

After the decade-old clip resurfaced amid Brand's latest sexual assault allegations, the singer-songwriter slammed Daily Mail for incorporating her in this story and claimed it as "harmless."

McPhee stated, per the outlet, "This specific incident was over 10 years ago and it was harmless."

While making an appearance on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' in 2013, Brand placed the married McPhee on his lap and rocked her up and down on his knee.

What happened on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' in 2013?

The shocking allegations are believed to have occurred between 2006 and 2013, while Brand worked as a presenter for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4.

The resurfaced clip shows McPhee approaching Fallon to greet him when Brand grabs her arm and pulls her onto his lap. He hugged her from behind and grabbed her hips as she struggled to get away from him.

He continued to push her onto his lap while yelling, "For the Queen!" despite her apparent distress, and the show host Fallon asked the 'Arthur' actor to "stop."

Throughout the interview, Russell continued to make advances at Katharine until he realized she was then married to 58-year-old actor Nick Cokas.

The couple wed in 2008 but later filed for divorce in 2016. She then got married a second time to 73-year-old composer David Foster.

Brand interrupted Jimmy after he had mentioned Katharine's husband: "I didn't know you were married. I'm going to f**k off now."

One of the viewers commented 10 years ago, "When Russel is invited into someone's show, it instantly becomes his show."

Another one commented at the time, "I think another funniest thing in this video is seeing how Jimmy was freaking out about what Russell is doing and terrified what he is capable of doing lol"

Someone else wrote, "Love how he says "she could drop that guy any day" and she actually did !!"

The 'American Idol' star made her statement when viewers brought up the awkward incident, which occurred more than ten years ago.

McPhee also added in a comment on a Daily Mail post on Instagram, "Daily mail -I know nothing what you are trying to claim here but this specific incident was over 10 years ago and it was harmless. Please don’t try and use me for whatever purpose you are trying to serve."

Russell Brand is accused in a shocking expose of sexual assault

The unsettling video was released once again after several women accused the 48-year-old actor of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse.

The Times and Sunday Times claim that in the wake of their joint inquiry with Channel 4 that was published on September 16, "several women" have come forward with unreported complaints regarding Brand's behavior during the early 2000s.

The most recent accusations have not been examined, but will now be "rigorously checked," after complaints from four women, one of whom claims Brand raped her while they dated for three months when she was 16 and still in school.

Nadia, one of the anonymous accusers, claimed that Brand sexually assaulted her "against a wall" in his Los Angeles house in 2012 while she was in her thirties.

A second complainant, who was 16 at the time, asserted that Brand had "emotionally abusive and controlling" behavior toward her when he was 31 years old.

The eccentric actor and stand-up comedian has vehemently denied all accusations of wrongdoing and placed the blame for the "litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks" on the "mainstream media."

Since the claims gained attention over the weekend, a number of upsetting old clips and remarks of the actor have reappeared online, as per Page Six.

On Richard Herring's 'Leicester Square Theatre' podcast in 2013, the comedian described himself as a "sex narcissist" who evolved into a "pretty comprehensive show-off."

The 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' actor also made light of the fact that the ancient Greeks were "clever" for developing the principles of contemporary math while engaging in child sex.
