This model comes without the C-wire some homes require, though it's designed to work without one for most. This thermostat is compatible with a wide variety of HVAC systems, and while it's fairly simple to install and looks great on the wall (far better than those default modules most people have), its biggest draw is obviously the ability to learn your heating and cooling preferences.
