LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Khloe Kardashian legally gave her son Tatum the surname Kardashian; however, she later changed her mind. According to TMZ, the mother-of-two, who shares the 10-month-old with her former boyfriend Tristan Thompson, ultimately changed his last name to Thompson. The outlet also claimed that the baby previously went by a different first name, but they couldn't confirm what it was.

After keeping her son's identity a secret, the socialite ultimately revealed that he had been given the name Tatum Robert Thompson, adopting the middle name of her late father Robert Kardashian. "It took Khloe a little while to settle on the name but ultimately she went with Tatum Robert, which is in keeping with Tristan and True's names starting with a T," a source told Daily Mail. "Khloe wanted a name that was kind of unusual but not too out there and also keeping with the T theme."

'Tatum Thompson'

"Tatum Thompson, as he's now known, was initially legally a Kardashian," according to those close to the family. "Khloe decided to drop the Kardashian name for Thompson, and that's now Tatum's legal name moving forward." Tatum wasn't Khloe's first pick for the 11-month-old's first name, the insider continued, but they are "unsure what first name Khloe originally chose for him."

In July 2022, Khloe and Tristan announced that they would use a surrogate to deliver their second child. The news came after he got Instagram model Maralee Nichols pregnant. Tristan was "single and co-parenting" when Maralee first met him, she later claimed after giving birth to their son Theo.

'I feel guilty'

Khloe recently admitted to abandoning her young son three months after his surrogate birth on Hulu's 'The Kardashians', so it appears that the mother of two has been going through a guilt phase. Khloe was back in her hometown of Los Angeles with Tatum while Kim was on a flight to Milan and Kourtney and Kendall were in New York City. The 38-year-old socialite even shared with Kris, "I feel guilty," adding she hasn't been able to "connect" with Tatum. This comes after Scott Disick hesitantly invited her out on a date in last week's episode.

'I definitely still don't have that complete bond'

Khloe also confessed to Kris that she has established new boundaries with Tristan and that she is certain that they are not getting back together. Khloe said, "When you compare it between True and him, it's a very different experience, the connection," when Kris asked about what she thinks about the entire surrogacy procedure three months later. "With True, it took me a couple of days, to be like, 'OK, this is my daughter' and I was super into it, but just days. With him, it's taking me months. I love him and I love kids, but I definitely still don't have that complete bond, but so many people say it takes time," Khloe stated.
