On September 13, his TikTok video sent his fans into a frenzy with the imminent release of his single titled 'Friends With Your Ex'.
It appeared that the lyrics of the song may be hinting at Landon Barker's girlfriend, TikTok star Charli D'Amelio, and her ex-boyfriend, Chase Hudson.

In a recent episode of the Barstool Sports’ 'BFFs' podcast, Barker talked about his relationship, new huddy, upcoming single, and much more.
19-year-old Barker said, "It’s kind of just like a take how you want it type of thing, you know." He added, “Just take it as you want it. I’m not gonna, like, stick it and put it to a certain situation.”
On Landon’s end, he has nothing bad or any sort of grudge for Hudson even despite the D’Amelio drama.
He said, "My song isn’t necessarily a shot at him, it’s more about my side of everything. I didn’t make this song intentionally to be a d***k or whatever."
“I more made it to just explain my side of how it is when you end up falling in love with somebody you’re not technically supposed to.”
Barker went on to say that he and Hudson were kind of growing apart as friends when he and D’Amelio met.
For context, D’Amelio and Hudson dated on and off from 2019 until 2022.
On the other hand, According to a report from Us Weekly, Charli and Landon initially began making public appearances together in June 2022.
