PACIFIC HARBOUR, FIJI: Here comes the first challenge of 'Love Island USA' Season 5! Until now, we saw contestants getting to know each other and there was a fake elimination in order to make the islanders aware of the uncertain situation. The first challenge is about testing the contestants, seeing whether their brain will match their beauty or not.
Peacock dropped a clip saying, "A kissing lesson and our first challenge?!" In the clip, we can see the girls making Bergie ready for the kiss. They teach the tricks of how to be a good kisser and it seems to have done wonders in the challenge. As we wait for 'Love Island USA' Season 5 Episode 3 to unfold more drama, let us take a look at what is the first challenge of the villa.
1st challenge tests 'Love Island USA Season 5' contestants' brain and beauty
Kassy gets a text as soon as the islanders get up in the morning. She shouts in excitement and reads the text to the whole house. It said, "Islanders, it's time to see if your brains match your beauty in today's challenge... High School Dropouts #HighSchoolHOtties #LessonInLove." As the name of the challenge says 'High School Dropots' it's clear that the contestants will get to dress in an attire where they will look as a high school student. Girls will be wearing short checked skirts, white shirts, and shoes, while boys will be holding their bottles in neck while wearing blue shorts and white shirts. The contestants will be given a sentence and the competing couple will have to constantly say words after words related to that sentence. The challenge will have different sections and contestants will get to pick their choice. Bergie and Destiny got the question, "Things that you put in your mouth." They continued saying "water, finger, food, hair" and then Berge said "d**k," making Destiny stumble for a second. The one who stumbles gets to take a dip in the water and the winner gets to kiss a contestant.
Elephant in the room exposed
During the first challenge, Leo kissed Anna. However, Kassy was expecting to be picked up by Leo. But it seems Marco is playing his chance to get as many girls as he wants. Seeing Anna and Leo kiss in the challenge made Kassy feel frustrated. Kassy says to the other girls, "Should we talk about the elephant in the room, she was like (making an imitation of Anna's kiss) going in." She adds, "Girl, like, get a room."
Who will win the challenge?
In the challenge, the islanders will not fight as a couple. Instead, they will compete as an individual. A person will stand up against another and the one who wins will immediately get the reward for it. And, the reward is the kiss of their choice. The challenge is about to spark some new connections and break some old ones. Hannah loves Bergie in the task and the way he kissed her. On the other hand, it seems Leo and Kassy's bond has been broken.
'Love Island USA' Season 5 premiered on Peacock on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. During premiere week, new episodes will be available to stream every day at 9 pm ET. Subsequently, new episodes will be released on Thursdays through Tuesdays on Peacock.
