The Minnesota Lynx are hoping to stay ahead of the Seattle Storm in the Western Conference standings when the two teams face off on Thursday night in Seattle.
The Storm are playing better as of late after an 0-4 start, winning four of their last 10 games to jump the Phoenix Mercury in the West.
Meanwhile, the Lynx – led by Napheesa Collier – have won three of their last four games, including Tuesday's tilt against Seattle.
Can Jewell Loyd and company avoid back-to-back losses to a conference rival?
Here are the latest odds and my best bet:
Lynx vs. Storm odds, spread and total
Lynx vs. Storm prediction and pick
These two teams have both struggled all season, ranking 11th (Seattle) and 10th (Minnesota) in net rating.
However, they did combine for 197 points on Tuesday night, yet the total for this game is all the way down at 162.5.
I think the OVER is the play, especially since both teams have struggled on defense this season.
Neither offense is elite either, but the Storm make a ton of 3-pointers, ranking third in the league in 3-point percentage and second in 3s made per game.
That's a huge lift for any game where you're looking to bet the OVER, and Seattle loves to push the pace as well, ranking fourth in the WNBA in that category.
Collier (21.8 points per game) is one of four Lynx averaging double figures on the season, and the team coasted to 104 points on Tuesday night against Seattle behind 33 from the star forward.
I expect another high-scoring affair between these teams tonight.
