LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Madonna’s most awaited 40th-anniversary tour has been delayed. According to the veteran’s manager Guy Oseary, the ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ singer was admitted to a hospital and was intubated after being found unresponsive in New York on Saturday, June 24. He also confirmed that Madonna is dealing with a 'serious bacterial infection,' which indicates that she will need medical care in order to fully recover.

Oseary shared details about her current state on Instagram, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU. required her to stay in the ICU for several days. Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.” The post further read, “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which include the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

'It may be her last tour, so she wants to make it perfect'
