Well, who saw this coming?
Liverpool have thrown themselves in at the deep end of the transfer pool, agreeing a £111m fee to make Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo the most expensive player in the history of English football. Not bad.
In a complete new-look midfield alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and former Brighton teammate Alexis Mac Allister, here are the shirt numbers available to Caicedo if his move to Liverpool goes through.

Moises Caicedo shirt number history
Caicedo has worn a number of different shirts throughout his career to date.
As he burst through the Independiente del Valle academy, he had 55 on his back before moving up to 52, and he would also wear both 5 and 6 before he made the move over to England in 2021.
The number 8 was handed to Caicedo in Brighton's Under-23 setup before a promotion to the first team came with the 25 shirt which he has worn ever since, although a loan to Belgian side Beerschot brought a return to 6 and spells back in Brighton's youth setup brought the 10 and 8 shirts.
On the international stage, Caicedo has worn the number 23 shirt in each of his appearances for Ecuador.
Liverpool available shirt numbers
After a summer of numerous departures, Liverpool have plenty of vacant shirt numbers available to choose from: 3, 12, 14, 15, 16, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and 33, above which only Trent Alexander-Arnold's 66 appeares to be unavailable.
Each of Caicedo's previous single-digit shirts are taken at Anfield but the 25 with which he played at Brighton is available, as is his international number of 23.
