GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA: Whitney Thore was seen exploring more about her dead mother Barbara 'Babs' Thor in 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' Season 11. In the recently released episode, we saw the reality star planning to throw her father Glenn Thore a party in memory of Babs.
Whitney was seen giving away her mother's wedding dress to one of her friends. Whitney brings a box of things filled with Babs' stuff. She says to her friend who is about to be married soon, "So, you get to wear my mother's dress."
Her friend shouted in excitement as she said, "I can't fit in that." Whitney replied, "You sure can." To fans it seemed as if Whitney has now made a show out of Babs death and is doing these things not to mourn but for the sake of the show.
A fan commented, "I don’t understand how she thinks it’s okay to have someone wear her mom’s wedding dress. If I was Glenn I would be upset. Let Babs rest in peace." Another slammed the star, "It seems like it’s just for tv . It’s like she doesn’t want you to grieve. And just to let you know, she is not grieving her mom. She is taking the role of making you better."
Another claimed, "The wedding dress thing is bizarre. No one should be wearing that dress outside the family, and especially so soon after Babs died. It’s super disrespectful."

'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' star Glenn Thore reveals his life without Babs has been 'difficult'
As fans trolled Whitney for giving away her dead mother's wedding dress, Glenn took to the comment section to clap back at the trolls.
He wrote, "I just want everyone to know that my life without Babs has been really difficult as you can imagine." Glenn added, "The love we had was one of of a kind and her passing has caused me unimaginable grief. The surprise tribute that Whitney planned with her friends for me was a very wonderful evening for me and I needed that!"
He then thanked her daughter for paying tribute to Babs, saying, "Remembering how special Babs was will never leave my thoughts. Whitney thank you for the tribute you put together!"
He then added one more comment, "This was one of the happiest days I’ve had since Babs passed. It was an amazing party that honored Babs in every way. I can’t wait for everyone to see it."
How did 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' star Babs die?
Babs died on December 7, 2022, because of cerebral amyloid angiopathy. The condition was an untreatable progressive condition, leading to several strokes.
She started having strokes in 2017 and the last one she had was on November 13, 2022. After mother's death, Whitney took to Instagram to pay tribute.
She wrote, "Dad, Hunter, and I held her as she took her last breaths. It was 10.32 pm, the same exact time she brought me into this world almost forty years ago."
How is 'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' star Glenn Thore coping with Babs' death?
Whitney's father Glenn was left disheartened after Babs died. He was seen giving away the hope to live.
Whitney wanted her father to find reasons to have hopes to live. Therefore, she asked her father to make a to-do list.
Glenn will indeed be seen getting a tattoo, indoor skydiving, swimming, reconnecting with long-lost daughter Angie, and many other fun activities.
