Netflix is opening its own restaurant later this month offering a tasting menu prepared by the streaming service's most well-known chefs and mixologists.
This first "culinary space" is called Netflix Bites and will open for a limited time starting June 30 in Los Angeles at Short Stories Hotel. The menu will feature dishes from chef Curtis Stone, Dominque Crenn, Rodney Scott, Ming Tsai, Ann Kin, Nadiya Hussain, Jazques Torres, and Andrew Zimmeron.
Netflix subscribers will recognize these chefs from shows including Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend, Chef’s Table, Nailed It!, and Nadiya Bakes. They will be joined by Frankie Solarik, Julie Reiner, LP O'Brien, and Kate Gerwin from Drink Masters who will provide a drink menu comprised of custom cocktails.
Josh Simon, VP, Consumer Products, said:
"From episode to entrée, with Netflix Bites we are creating an in-person experience where fans can immerse themselves in their favorite food shows. We are excited to collaborate with these incredible chefs who will bring this vision to life and showcase an array of their delicious menus."
Netflix Bites is located at 115 S. Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036, and will be open seven days a week from 5-10pm, as well as offering a brunch menu from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Based on the reservation system, it looks as though the pop-up restaurant will only be serving food until July 13, so you'll need to be quick if you want to book a table.
The streaming service is currently attempting to crackdown on account sharing, which has sparked a surge in new sign-ups. The cheaper ad-supported tier is also proving popular, with nearly 5 million people already watching the service with ads.
