The New World: Heart of Madness update officially launched on March 30. The biggest feature of the update is definitely the expansion of the main story questline. Players finally have the opportunity to square off against Isabella, who has been repeatedly alluded to throughout Aeternum.
New World Heart of Madness Update Explained
In addition to the main story questline expansion, players can also get their hands on a brand-new weapon: the blunderbuss. In the official release notes, Amazon Games describes the blunderbuss as "a ranged weapon that offers high-mobility coupled with potent close-to-mid range damage."
The weapon is also the first introduced in the game to scale on both strength and intelligence, giving players greater choice in the diversity of their builds.
Since New World's release in September, the game has been receiving consistent updates. The first major update, Into the Void, introduced the Void Gauntlet as a playable weapon as well as new enemies. Other updates have included new endgame content and quality of life improvements. With all the strides New World is making, there's no better time to step into the world of Aeternum and give it a try.
