The Eastern Conference Final has been decided in the NHL, but both spots in the Western Conference Final are still up for grabs.
The first one may be claimed today when the Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken face-off in Game 6.
The Stars hold the 3-2 series lead and with a win tonight, will advance to the Western Conference Final take on the winner of the Golden Knights vs. Oilers.
Heading into tonight, I'm sitting at 40-29-1 (+10.54 units) by betting on every single NHL Playoff game so far.
Let's take a look at my best bet for tonight.
Best NHL bet for Saturday, May 13
- Stars -160 vs. Kraken
Stars -160 vs. Kraken
The Stars have proven to be the better team this series and the Kraken should feel lucky it has even gone to Game 6.
The advanced analytics for this series gives the Stars a significant edge. For example, in expected goals per 60 minutes the stars are at 3.37 and the Kraken are at 2.23, which is the lowest amongst all second round teams.
The Stars are also averaging 4.42 more high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes of action, which is a significant margin over a five game sample size.
If the Kraken want any hope of forcing a Game 7, they need to continue to shoot the lights out. Their 13.01% shooting percentage this season is the third best amongst all eight second round teams.
But, with a goaltender as talented as Jake Oettinger, I have faith the Stars can shut them down.
I'll back Dallas as a road favorite to close out the series tonight.
