A major bug in Overwatch 2 has been the inability for players to access their own heroes in game, this locked heroes bug luckily has a fix in the works.
Overwatch 2 has a number of bugs that are being worked on after a week of play. Players are being hit with error codes and long load in times for matches, and the experience thus far has not been great.
Blizzard Entertainment is working to address a lot of the issues the game has had thus far, like one issue having to do with players not being able to use their owned heroes.
Overwatch 2 'Locked Heroes' Bug Fix in the Works
Blizzard posted about the issue with players accessing all their owned heroes on their forum, there message said:
The team is aware of a new issue that prevents players from accessing all their owned heroes. This is caused by an issue with our servers that tracks player progression. We are working to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible.Blizzard EntertainmentThis update status update came out on Monday, Oct. 10, at 10 p.m. ET. As they said, the issue is being caused by a player progression tracker for the game. This is just one of those things that will be fixed soon.
With Overwatch 2 including cross progression and allowing players to use their heroes from Overwatch in the new game, there was going to be some bugs with such a big jump from the original game. These fixes all should be addressed in time and we will update you when the locked heroes bug is fixed.
