PGA Championship tee times 2023: Format, field, purse, how to watch

2023 PGA Championship tee times as we look at the field, format, purse and all of the live stream and TV schedule information so you can watch.

The 2023 PGA Championship takes us to Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY where Justin Thomas, who won last year at Southern Hills, will try and capture his third major and third PGA Championship victory of his career. He'll have to hold off some heavy hitters if he wants to hoist the Wanamaker Trophy again, though.

For much of the golf calendar, it's been a war at the top of the Official World Golf Rankings between Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. The first two have separated themselves coming into the 2023 PGA Championship, which is why they are the big-time favorites. Rory isn't far behind, though. And then there is a big pack of legitimate challengers behind them.

Oak Hill has delivered some phenomenal tournaments in the three previous times it has hosted the PGA Championship, and this year figures to be absolutely no different. So let's take a look at the 2023 PGA Championship tee times along with the purse and prize money, the odds to win, and how you can watch every minute of the action live streaming or on the TV broadcast schedule.

PGA Championship tee times, field 2023

Given that it's a major week, it's no surprise that the PGA Championship field is loaded and star-studded. There won't be any Tiger Woods this week, unfortunately, but the stars are showing out in Rochester. Here's a look at the full field list that was released on Wednesday, May 10, courtesy of Underdog.

Since that announcement, the following players are now out of the field: Davis Love III, Vijay Singh, Jason Dufner, Martin Kaymer, and John Daly. As such, the following players have been added to the field: Alex Smalley, Lee Hodges, David Lingmerth, Callum Tarren, Eric Cole, and Stephan Jaeger.

The 2023 PGA Championship tee times and groupings will be released on Tuesday. We will update this space when they are made available.

PGA Championship purse for 2023

The PGA Championship purse is normally revealed the week of the tournament, so we don't know the exact details on the amount of prize money on the line for the 2023 event. We do know that last year's purse was at $15 million with Justin Thomas taking home $2.7 million as the winner. With the elevated purses at designated events and majors this season, though, we should expect the prize money and purse to be larger than it was a year ago.

PGA Championship odds 2023: Who are the favorites at Oak Hill?

Let's take a look at the Top 10 favorites to win this week according to the PGA Championship odds.

Rahm and Scheffler, as expected, are the heavy favorites with a gap before Rory McIlroy and then another gap for the top portions of the field. Once you get to the high +3000 range, though, there are very few players from the +4000-7000 range, which is quite intriguing.
