Sony teased an adaptive controller back in January of this year. It was called Project Leonardo, a customizable controller for disabled players.

The device looks promising. Sony stated that they collaborated with the accessibility community to create it, ensuring a comfortable gaming experience for people who are disabled.

Since then, we've patiently waited for more details about the controller. The company finally announced a proper release date recently.

Here's what you'll get in the box:

  • Access™ controller
  • USB cable

You can even connect the accessible controller to a DualSense wireless controller. There's also the option to add accessories, like more buttons, to the controller via its expansion ports. Those come at a separate price, and we have yet to find out how much they cost.
