Pokimane becomes latest victim of hot mic bug while playing 'Valorant'. Why did she apologize?

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Imane "Pokimane" Anys, a popular Twitch streamer, recently became the latest victim of a hot mic bug as she mistakenly flamed her Valorant teammate while her mic was turned on. She's been single queuing on Valorant recently, and many of her viewers have been rooting for her as she attempts to go past the Diamond tier.

Many players noticed a "hot mic" flaw in Valorant's 6.11 patch update, which would toggle their in-game mics without their knowledge. Valorant's team voice chat is configured to use push-to-talk (PTT) and is bound to the V key by default.

Why did Pokimane Apologize?

A user shared a video on Twitter in which the streamer, who was dead and spectating her colleagues at the time, was chatting to her chat about the ally Jett's "bad entry." Twitter user wrote, "This hot mic bug is exposing us ALL. my favorite streamer... poor pokimane :("

Pokimane eventually realized that her microphone had been turned on the entire time, and everyone on her team could hear her complaints. The streamer promptly apologized and exited the match to avoid embarrassment.

'No more hot mic bug'

Pokimane tweeted that she hopes for "early stream ! d2 solo q, let's pray no more hot mic bug lol" in her future Valorant games.

Meanwhile, other players wondered when Riot Games would address this glitch, which is embarrassing to individuals who are impacted by it. As of this writing, the Valorant developer has not acknowledged the problem, or the efforts being taken to resolve it. Many Valorant fans found the situation amusing, but they also sympathized with Pokimane because they had encountered the same glitch in their games.

A user wrote, "IT HAPPENED TO ME TODAY LMAO." Another one added, "This happened to me yesterday and it could’ve been so much worse."

However, due to a problem, players must hit the key twice to turn off their microphones. This has resulted in amusing and terrible interactions among players who did not intend for their teammates to hear their comments or chats.
