The Suns have traded for All-Star guard Bradley Beal. What will the depth chart and lineup in Phoenix look like after the trade?

The Phoenix Suns now have Bradley Beal on the roster alongside Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Suns are sending Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, multiple second-round picks, and multiple first-round pick swaps to the Washington Wizards for the All-Star. This is a team that needed depth and certainly didn't help that with this trade.

But they undoubtedly have three stars now.

What will the Sun starting lineup look like now, though after adding Bradley Beal? Let's take look.

Suns Roster: Projected starting lineup after Bradley Beal trade

  • PG: Devin Booker
  • SG: Bradley Beal
  • SF: Josh Okogie or Terrence Ross (Neither under contract for 2023-24)
  • PF: Kevin Durant
  • C: DeAndre Ayton (For now)

There are three spots in stone for the Suns. Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant are locked to start in this starting lineup. What happens after is a bit unsure.

The Suns do not currently have anoter forward under contract. This spot will most likely be filled out with part of the return from a possible DeAndre Ayton trade or minimum deals that they are able to sign, perhaps working to bring back the likes of T.J. Warren, Josh Okogie or Terrence Ross in some way.

This is a team that is gonna have serious depth issues going forward. Despite this, the Suns have three All-Stars on the roster, which is a big rarity.

More importantly, the Suns will need to nail the DeAndre Ayton trade to fill out the depth. Phoenix no longer has any tradeable assets under guaranteed contracts. They are also almost out of tradeable assets at this point. Even still, as we wait to see what's next, the Suns will be one of the heavy title favorites after this blockbuster deal.
