Robert David Croizat: American Airline passenger loses cool over flight attendants' behavior explaining inflight meal options

MIAMI, FLORIDA: A man on American Airlines allegedly assaulted flight attendants and attempted to storm the cockpit because he felt they had not treated him with enough respect when explaining his options for in-flight meals. Robert David Croizat lost his cool halfway through a four-hour American Airlines flight from Barbados to South Florida.

He became extremely angry, the criminal complaint cited by Daily Mail says. The man was not displeased with the food offered on the international trip, but rather with the manner it was presented to him.

Croizat insisted on speaking with the flight's captain

Regarding what he considered to be poor service, Croizat insisted on speaking with the flight's captain and rushed to the cockpit. His meltdown as per the report became outrageous and he was physically pushed back into his seat by fellow passengers. “Croizat told FA1 he was a ‘s*****’ flight attendant and should have addressed him in a better way when giving him the choices for his meal,” said the complaint. He was also "shouting" at the crewmember as per the Daily Beast.

Croizat allegedly got up from his seat and "caused a disturbance," less than two hours into the flight when he approached the first of numerous flight attendants as per the complaint cited by the outlet. "What, you want to call the Captain?" Croizat allegedly asked a second flight attendant as he proceeded to yell, demand, and berate the flight attendants to "get the Captain out here."

Croizat 'touched flight attendant 3' and on warning pushed her twice

The report suggests that Croizat had consumed two drinks and that the flight attendant requested him to sit back in his seat. But he continuously refused and insisted on speaking with the Captain. In the event Croizat "touched flight attendant 3." Croizat is accused of pushing her twice after the attendant warned him not to touch her. According to the lawsuit, the businessman "persisted in being belligerent and non-compliant."

The third flight attendant made a call to the captain in the cockpit to inform him of the situation. Then, Croizat turned to face attendant 2, who was standing in front of the cockpit door. She told Croizat to sit down once more, but he refused, "pushing FA 2 and briefly pinning her against the cockpit door." "All the while, passengers told Croizat many times to sit down, but Croizat refused and continued to be disruptive,' the complaint further states.

Passenger lifted Croizat and placed him in his seat

"Finally, a passenger lifted Croizat and placed him in his seat in [an] attempt to restrain him, causing a glass of wine to spill." The complaint also reveals how attendant number 2 placed a serving cart in front of the cockpit door "to keep Croizat from making any further attempts to contact the Captain."

Even though he continued to remain seated afterward he as per the report continued to complain about the way he was treated by the flight attendants. The Barbados resident was apparently flying to Miami to visit his son. Eventually, the captain reported the mid-flight incident to air traffic control, describing it as an "attempted breach of the cockpit." Upon landing in Miami Croizat was arrested.
