RICHMOND, VIRGINIA: Susanna Gibson, a Virginia Democratic candidate, reportedly claimed she had an “ethically non-monogamous” relationship with her husband, in which they tried “swapping” with other partners.
Gibson, a 40-year-old mother-of-two who is running to represent District 57 in Richmond, allegedly performed dozens of sex acts with her husband, John David, on adult website, Chaturbate.
She allegedly encouraged viwers to pay them with "tips" for specific requests.
Gibson’s purported videos were then posted to a publicly accessible archive on the website Recurbate in September 2022 after she declared her candidacy.
The videos are no longer on Recurbate but can be found on other publicly available sites.
The existence of the explicit content was first reported by The Washington Post after receiving a tip from a Republican insider.

In one of her videos, Gibson was reportedly seen explaining that she was in an “ethically non-monogamous” relationship with her husband even though he did not like sharing.
She says in the video, “Yeah I f**k random strangers if you're hot. We have tried swapping. I was telling them earlier about ethical non-monogamy. We uh, he doesn't like sharing.”
John then says. “Sometimes I have to though. She makes me.” “I've had three in a day actually,” Gibson then says, adding, “Don't tell my husband he was the third.”
Gibson explained her marriage by saying, “I’m married and I think the person I’m married to is amazing. But I love sex. I always have I always will."
She added, "I don’t think that when you are in love with someone it means that you don’t want to f**k other people. Like love and sex are not mutually exclusive right,” per the Daily Mail.
As per sexologist Yvonne Fulbright, an ethically non-monogamous relationship involves two people who identify as a couple but are not committed to a traditional relationship.
“They’ve given each other the opportunity to date or have sex with other people independently,” said Fulbright, according to CNN.
“Often a key component in these relationships working out is that the other relationship is only sexual, not romantic or emotional. There’s no deception about engaging in sex with others,” she continued.

In another video, Gibson was allegedly seen asking viewers for "tips" to request specific sex acts, claiming that she was raising money for a “good cause”.
“Y'all can watch me pee if you tip me and some tokens, Again I'm raising money for a good cause,” she said.
She added “I need more tips ... They want a**l and missionary. Racking up one token left and right, anymore? I'm raising money for a really good cause.”
However, It is unclear if she meant she was raising money for her campaign.

Reacting to the scandal, Gibson provided a statement to the Post, stating that the exposure of her videos was "an illegal invasion of my privacy designed to humiliate me and my family."
Gibson said, “It won’t intimidate me and it won’t silence me."
She added, "My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven they’re willing to commit a sex crime to attack me and my family because there’s no line they won’t cross to silence women when they speak up.”
Her attorney, Daniel P Watkins, told the outlet that the archived videos breached Virginia's revenge porn legislation.
The made it made it a Class 1 misdemeanor to “maliciously” circulate sexual images or another person’s nudity with “intent to coerce, harass, or intimidate.”
“We are working closely with state and federal law enforcement,” Watkins added.
