How to Increase Friendship Level with Alex
Alex, like all other villagers, will gain more hearts once gifts are given to him. To increase your friendship, avoid giving him gifts that he Dislikes or Hates, and focus on ones he Likes or Loves.
Alex loves all Universal Loves within the game along with Complete Breakfast and Salmon Dinner. By making these specific recipes and giving them to him, you will gain Hearts. His likes are fairly simple, as he prefers all Universal Likes along with Eggs. Don't give him a Void Egg, though, as he dislikes this.
Take note of his birthday as well, which is on Summer 13. When you give him gifts on this day, you will prompt exclusive dialogue and it will have an 8x effect on your relationship.
The process for marriage can only begin once you have eight hearts with your desired character. After this, Pierre will offer you the chance to buy a bouquet and give it to them, beginning the process.
