LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sylvester Stallone has revealed that singer Adele had one request that was almost a deal breaker before purchasing his Los Angeles mansion in 2022. It turns out that when the details of the sale were being hammered out, conversation turned to the iconic ‘Rocky’ statue that adorned the property's pool area.

When asked if he intended to take it with him when selling the house, Stallone expressed his desire to do so. However, Adele had different plans in mind. She insisted on keeping the statue for herself, as Stallone recounted during the interview with The Wall Street Journal.

‘I like what she’s doing’

The acclaimed singer reportedly told him, "That's a no deal. That's gonna blow the whole deal." Eventually, Stallone agreed to let Adele keep the statue, recognizing her vision to transform the property into something truly stunning. He remarked, "I like what she's doing, she's making it gorgeous."

According to TMZ, Adele recently purchased the mansion for $58 million and has embarked on an extensive renovation project to make it her own. Despite originally listing his Los Angeles mansion for $110 million, Sylvester Stallone eventually accepted Adele's offer, which was barely half of his initial asking price. The images of the property show a radical interior overhaul, with only the shell of the main building remaining, while the guest house appears untouched.

One of a kind statue

One notable feature that Adele chose to preserve is the pool area, which includes the iconic statue of Rocky with his fist raised triumphantly, mirroring Stallone's famous pose on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum. However, a statue of a polo player on a horse, located on the opposite side of the garden, did not survive Adele's remodeling.

Stallone has a deep passion for polo, as it has been a part of his family history, with his late father, Frank Stallone, being a professional player in Italy. The former home was known for its 'Rambo' and 'Rocky' references when it was on the market, but Adele seemingly aimed for a fresh start with seemingly only a few key exclusions.
