OAKLAND, NORTH CAROLINA: Apparently things won't stop going downhill for 'Teen Mom' star Jenelle Evans as the custody of her son Jace Evans is being held by Child Protective Services (CPS) and shall be restored to her mother Barbara at a later date in accordance with Jace's wellbeing.
Sources have confirmed that this comes as the latest addition to a series of nerve-wracking ups and downs in the mother-son relationship, as Jace was reported to have escaped home multiple times and was supposedly not having the best time of his life around his mother and stepfather.
On Wednesday, Barbara obtained a judge's approval in her petition seeking Jace's custody. This followed a week's time that Jace had to spend at a North Carolina hospital.
Additionally, a CPS order has prohibited Jenelle and her husband David Eason from visiting Jace until and unless Jace himself wishes to meet them.
Barbara is looking forward to wielding Jace's custody in the long term and making decisions concerning him on his behalf.
Jace Evans accuses his step-father David Eason of assault
David is subject to a CPS investigation after he was accused of assaulting his stepson Jace. Jace recently spent a considerable time in hospital after running away from home for a third time.
According to sources, the Columbus County Sheriff, doctors, and Jace's therapist jointly confirmed him to be at the receiving end of the assault and stated that he had been 'physically attacked' by his stepfather.
The marks on Jace's arms and neck were taken as significant proof of the alleged beating which is thought to have taken place just before Jace ran away from home.
The entire incident was further caught on tape as it took place on an individual's private property and was recorded by his Ring camera.
Jace Evans has a history of running away from home multiple times
Jace has run away from this home multiple times throughout the course of his troubled childhood.
He was reported missing in early August following a quarrel with his teacher and the police were able to find him after three hours.
He once again ran away from his family home and was subsequently located at a gas station. He was hospitalized after running away a third time.
Jace has made it clear to the authorities that she shall attempt to escape once again if he were to be placed in the custody of Jennelle and David.

Jenelle's recent move to obtain a domestic violence restraining order against her mother Barbara backfired on her own self as it accidentally revealed the cracks in her statement, disclosing that both she and her husband David had no idea where Jace was between September 30 and October 2.
This is particularly deceitful on her part since she was making claims all this while relating to the fact that Jace was with her and not taken away from their custody. She also revealed that she didn't give Jace any medical help.
