With the upcoming release of TFT Patch 12.14, there are multiple changes that could potentially shift the meta for the better. Here are five changes we'd like to see enter the arena.
TFT Patch 12.14: 5 Changes We Want
1. Better Legendary Dragons
This is a change that Mortdog, Lead Designer of TFT, has already committed to. The 8-cost dragons have felt so much stronger than their 10-cost counterparts that there really hasn't been a reason to play the legendary dragons. Here's hoping that this patch gives those dragons the kick that they need.
2. Rageblade Nerfs
Full disclosure that these changes aren't realistic. Rageblade is incredibly good on a plethora of champions and allows them to tear through the entire enemy team. I would personally just like to play a game without feeling the impulsive need to slam Rod and Bow together.
3. Warrior Buffs
This is a change that's more fun to ask for than to receive. Warrior has constantly felt like a fake trait even with its slight buffs in Patch 12.13. The only thing making me hesitant about a buff to Warriors is that all of the individual units are reasonably good, so buffing their trait could make them unstoppable.
4. Astral Rework
I feel for the Riot development team because, frankly, I don't know how anyone could keep Astrals in a good place. When they get nerfed, they become unplayable. When they get buffed, they turn the lobby into an eight-player race to three-star them. I don't have to be a fortune teller to predict that Astrals won't survive the mid-set changes.
5. Xayah Nerfs
The only reason I'm even listing this is for variety. It's been three straight patches of dominance from Xayah, and I'd like to see some other units succeed. It's more likely, though, that the Shyvanna buffs will make Xayah an even better unit to play. Oh well.
