IDAHO COUNTY, IDAHO: Lori Vallow's brother, Adam Cox, and her uncle, Rex Conner, have decided to break their silence and discuss the shocking case involving Lori's conviction for murdering her two children, JJ and Tylee. In May 2023, Lori was found guilty of killing her kids and conspiring to murder her husband Chad Daybell's first wife, Tammy Daybell.
The case garnered attention when Lori and Chad were seen enjoying a vacation in Hawaii after their children had disappeared in September 2019. While Lori was eventually arrested for failing to report a missing child, Chad, who had previously worked as a gravedigger, remained free. The discovery of Tylee and JJ's decomposing remains in shallow graves at Chad's Idaho home on June 9, 2020, led to the arrest of both Lori and Chad on murder charges.
'She still believes that Chad is a god or whatever he told her he is!'
Despite the impending life sentence Lori faces, her family doubts whether she will ever show remorse or change her ways. In an interview, Adam expressed "I believe that she believed everything that Chad told her," reported KSAZ. "And she still believes it while she's sitting in jail. She still believes that Chad is a god or whatever he told her he is."
The family has already faced immense tragedy, as Lori's fourth husband, Charles Vallow, was murdered by her brother, Alex Cox, in July 2019. Alex claimed it was in self-defense and was never charged. However, he passed away from a heart attack before the investigation concluded. "I don't know exactly what I could've done different. I tried to warn people and tell people but, as I told my mom and dad, Lori's an adult," Alex said. Lori is now facing charges related to Charles' death, along with another case in Arizona for allegedly conspiring to kill her niece's former husband, Brandon Boudreaux.
Alex and Rex are working on a podcast called 'Tylee and JJ's Silver Linings', which will honor their memories and discuss Lori's case. "This story is a huge onion. And every time we peel back another layer of the onion, there's something else right there that nobody else knows," Alex said. "So that's the point of this podcast - just filling out the gaps of this case." Conner said of the title, "We’re all united in finding justice for the victims of this tragedy. It’s so uniting."
