NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Another killing has recently shaken the country as a man was brutally beaten to death at a football match.
The incident has prompted ‘The Five’ hosts to once again question the law and order in the American landscape as crime rates have consistently surged recently.
On the episode that aired on Tuesday, September 19, host Jeanine Pirro commented on the visible shift in the state of crime. She blamed it on what she considers to be leniency shown to criminals daily despite there being major homicide cases.
She shared a clip of her conversation on ‘The Five’ along with the caption, “There is chaos in anarchy, and unfortunately in this case, death.”
She added, “Maybe if someone would have intervened instead of taking videos, this innocent season ticket holder would be alive.”
Jeanine Pirro blames education system for crime in the country
A Patriots fan who was attending a Patriots versus Dolphins match was killed after a fan of the opposing team fatally punched him. The incident took place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 17, as reported by ESPN.
Judge Pirro pointed out that it was the fault of what is being taught at schools that has caused such killings recently.
“In this world today, we are all winners,” she said, continuing “No one is being taught that there is a winner and a loser. Everybody is a winner, everybody gets a trophy. That's what's going on in schools today.”
Pirro was addressing the issue of a fan getting outraged over the winning team's fans merely because of the rivalry, which caused the latter to be murdered.
“We shouldn't have to see stabbings and killings that end up in a homicide at a sporting event, where people supposedly go to forget their problems and join other people,” she added.
Jeanine Pirro calls out the 'devolution of society'
Pirro has multiple times pointed out the need for stricter criminal laws and has expressed concerns with the anarchist developments in the country. She had the same views on this case as well.
“We are in a world where there is a lack of civility, there is a lack of consequence, there is a lack of law enforcement,” she commented, adding, “There is chaos and anarchy; There is no law and order anymore.”
Pirro also brought up a video of women physically attacking each other at another game and called out the "devolution of society."
“It's unheard of but now it is the norm,” she continued, “If some of the people had intervened instead of taking videos of this guy getting beaten to death, they might have saved his life.” She added, “It's like murder and mayhem is acceptable.”
When host Dana Perino asked the judge whether she thinks that the Dolphins fan would be charged with murder, she affirmed, “Yes, I do,” later adding, “There's no question that it was a homicide.”
