LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former Disney Channel star and actress Ashley Tisdale is facing a lawsuit after her car allegedly hit another woman's car in September 2022.
The woman previously asked for $600k in damage but it was rejected, said the alleged victim's lawyer.
Why is Ashley Tisdale being sued?
The former Disney star has been sued by a woman named Lina Gonzales who accused Tisdale of causing a crash on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles in September 2022, reports TMZ.
The woman accused Tisdale to be the reason for the “severe injuries” that she received in her neck and back as a result of the crash last year.
As per the court documents obtained by TMZ, Gonzales’s lawyer Michael R Parker claimed that while the woman was waiting to turn left on the famous road of Hollywood Boulevard, Tisdale’s car purportedly changed the lanes causing her car to crash with Gonzalez’s vehicle.
Gonzalez’s lawyer further told TMZ that Tisdale “called [his client] names” and “made a big fuss about the situation”.
Gonzalez further claimed in the lawsuit that faced almost $140k in medical expenses because of her injuries.
While Parker said that Gonzalez made a total demand of $600k for the damages, it was rejected. This is why Gonzalez is suing the actress.
Tisdale’s representative, however, said, “there was no aggressiveness or words exchanged from Ashley following the crash,” New York Post.

Tisdale became a household name for the Disney fans as she starred prominently in the 2005 series ‘The Suite Life of Zack & Cody’ and was one of the cast regulars.
She later landed the role of the glamorous antagonist of the Disney Channel movie series ‘High School Musical’ where she shared screen with Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens among others. Tisdale is, reportedly, in touch with Hudgens even now.
After the conclusion of the ‘High School Musical’ series, she has appeared in two other movies named, ‘Aliens in the Attic’ (2009) and ‘Scary Movie 5’ (2013).
She has also released three music albums with the latest titled ‘Symptoms’ releasing in 2019.
Tisdale is also an entrepreneur who helms the lifestyle and wellness company ‘Frenshe’. Her company produces beauty and wellness products.

Tisdale married Christopher French in 2014 after dating for about a year. The couple got engaged in 2013 and tied the knot on September 8, 2014, in a small private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
The couple are proud parents to a daughter named Jupiter whom they welcomed in 2021.
