LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When it comes to the ‘Today’ show, the best parts are the live broadcasts where fans of the show get to watch their favorite hosts in person. ‘Today’ has seen a range of hosts come and go, but the current roster has received a lot of attention and love from the fans and one of the fan-favorite hosts includes Craig Melvin. Melvin presents facts, banters, has a sense of humor, and everything a good ‘Today’ host must possess.
While for the most part, Melvin looks like he loves being on set, especially during the live broadcast segment around the fans, it looked like he might have been a little disappointed during a recent segment of the show. During the ‘Best Sellers’ segment on ‘Today’, Melvin ended up with a sour face and gave a disappointed nod.

Why was Craig Melvin disappointed?
One would wonder if Melvin was disappointed because of one of the products presented in the segment, but that wasn’t the case at all. Instead, he was annoyed with the producers of ‘Today’ and a particular part of the segment. During the segment as the fans waved, Chassie Post, Kristin Welker, and Melvin promoted the summer products in front of them. The product in question was the Odyseaco Mesh Bag W/ Detachable Cooler. Welker and Post gushed over this product, but Melvin wasn’t on the same page as them, all thanks to all the fake ice used during the segment.
Melvin distracted on live broadcast
Instead of focusing on the product, Melvin was too distracted by the ice next to all the drinks in the cooler, or in this case, fake ice. Melvin barely had the time to look at the product and talk about it before his hand ventured into the attached cooler as he picked up the fake ice and asked, “Not sure why we’re using fake ice?” Welker and Post ignored Melvin as they continued talking about the product, but Melvin was still stuck on the fake ice, he looked straight into the camera and asked, “We don’t have real ice?” Melvin shook his head in disappointment and called the absence of real ice on set "weird".
Melvin stepped away from the table and product as he continued to look perplexed over this production choice on the ‘Today’ show. By the looks of it, Melvin was ready to throw some hands at the production team over fake ice. Lucky for the producers, Welker and Post continued gushing over the Odyseaco Mesh Bag W/ Detachable Cooler despite Melvin’s distraction.
