NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Today’ host Dylan Dreyer recently shared an update on her continued absence from the NBC show and revealed that her son, Ollie, got his tonsils removed.

Dreyer took to Instagram to share the news after she was not seen on the show on Wednesday, August 30.

Dreyer bit an emotional goodbye to her family as she took a few days off from the morning show. She posted a heartfelt snap on her Instagram, sharing her love for her brother who came to visit her.

Dylan Dreyer’s reason for absence from 'Today'

On Thursday, August 31, Dreyer posted a series of snaps featuring her son Ollie and the reason why she had to skip her ‘Today’ duties.

She revealed that the three-year-old was sick and had to go to the hospital.

She captioned the post, “My little trooper!! Ollie had his tonsils out this morning and was serenading me by this afternoon! Love you so much, buddy!! #petethecat Thank you to the doctors and nurses at @nyphospital for taking such good care of my little guy!”

The carousel concluded with a heartwarming video capturing Ollie serenading with his mini-guitar.

As he strummed away, his brother Calvin joined in, playing the drums, creating a beautiful musical moment.
