Dreyer revealed her mishap with the lost luggage last week, but she got over it and is enjoying her vacation. She recently shared a new snapshot on Instagram describing her "most difficult time" throughout the trip, which was not losing thirteen pieces of luggage.
The morning show host’s latest vacation isn’t exactly what she thought it would be after she and her extended family lost their luggage at the Amsterdam airport. Nevertheless, the ‘Today’ show alum didn’t let this horrible mishap ruin her vacation as she shared clothes with her in-laws and wore her six-year-old's PJs to bed. Dreyer took to Instagram to share every bit of her struggle and laugh on the trip after losing the luggage. However, her latest photo sparked concern as she posted another glimpse of her travel, recounting how hilarious and "difficult" it was to deal with her youngest son, Rusty.
Dylan Dreyer’s ‘most difficult time’
On July 30, Dreyer took to her Instagram to share a photo of her two-year-old baby boy, Rusty, sitting on the floor with a pacifier and clutching a soft toy. The photo series captures little Rusty in various adorable and playful poses. From fully laying down on a tiled floor, face up, to being facedown amid a crowd of standing people, the pictures showcase his delightful moments. There are also snapshots of him sitting down, joyfully enjoying some Doritos, and many more endearing moments captured in the series. The NBC meteorologist captioned the post, “I didn’t realize the most difficult part of our vacation would be keeping Rusty off the floor. I gave up after a while. He’s one very determined and stubborn little almost 2 year old! (Don’t worry, his doggie just had a hot bath).”

Dreyer has been open and candid about the challenges they faced during their family trip, particularly with their lost luggage woes. Last week, she shared their predicament in another Instagram post, captioning it with a mix of humor and frustration, "Family vacation! Little did we know these would be the clothes for the whole trip because our luggage is lost in Amsterdam. We're not in Amsterdam. All that work packing…” During that time, Dreyer’s ‘Today’ co-host Al Roker reacted to her post, expressing surprise and humor, stating, "Oh wow. We never check. Even when the kids were little.”
In a follow-up post, Dreyer continued to embrace the unexpected situation, writing, "Who needs luggage when you've got your family?? Laughing through lost luggage and extreme heat in Sicily! What a trip!" Despite the luggage setback and challenging weather, Dreyer maintained a positive attitude, finding joy in the company of her family and making the most of their memorable journey in Sicily.
