NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: NBC’s ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’ host Jenna Bush Hager recently had to call a show producer for help during a summer treat segment as friend Hoda Kotb shared the recipe for her version of ice cream. The former took a dig at her co-host's recipe, giving a dry reaction.
During a recent episode of ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’, Hoda Kotb used various ingredients to make her best recipe, which she often makes for her daughters. However, Hager didn’t seem to appreciate Kotb’s efforts and remained undecided about how it tasted. So the duo call on one of their ‘Today’ show producers for help.
Why did ‘Today’ Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager call for producer’s help?
On Friday, Kotb took the lead on a segment discussing her favorite homemade treat for hot summer days. She shared her recipe for a special "sweet summer treat", an ice cream-like dessert, on the show. While Hager observed, Kotb combined ricotta cheese, ice, heavy cream, and maple syrup in a container. After blending the mixture and conducting a taste test, Kotb decided it needed more maple syrup and ice. Although hesitant, Hager expressed her willingness to try it. Kotb then spoon-fed Hager a sample, to which Hager responded with a nod, trying to assess her thoughts. She said, “I mean, it’s ricotta-y.” Curious about others' opinions, Jenna called for their colleague, Talia, to taste the treat. Kotb joined in, urging Talia to come over. Jenna asked, “Does somebody else want to come taste it?,” while Kotb agreed and called, “Talia, come. Talia, try it, come, come.” Talia, still wearing her headset, approached the hosts during the live segment to participate in the taste test. Hager remarked that it “tastes like cheese”, prompting Kotb to disagree as she says, “No, it doesn’t!” Talia sampled the treat, nodded when asked if she enjoyed it, and quickly returned to her off-camera position with a smile.
Hoda Kotb’s strong arms
While Kotb was preoccupied with gathering everyone's opinions on her recipe, Hager couldn't resist taking a moment to admire her co-star's muscular arms during the segment. Around halfway through, Kotb completed the second blending of the drink and encountered a slightly stubborn container top. Wearing a sleeveless purple jumpsuit, Kotb had to exert considerable strength to twist it open. Meanwhile, Hager sat to the side, propping her head on her hand, captivated by her co-host's display of strength. Unable to contain herself, Hager interjected with excitement, exclaiming, "Your arms are great. Look how strong her arms are!" The crew members could be heard laughing in the background, amused by Hager's spontaneous compliment.
