LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ on Amazon Prime has taken the streaming world by storm, and Season 4, which will also be the final season will be no exception. This entire franchise is based on a series of books, but not every single part has been directly adapted. The creators have taken certain creative liberties, and those will be reflected in ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ Season 4.
The stakes are higher than ever in ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ Season 4, especially since this season concludes the entire show, ties up loose ends, and potentially sets up future spin-off series and movies. Jack Ryan, played by John Krasinski is at the center of it all, and one of the biggest questions that is playing on everyone’s mind as Season 4 makes its way to the screen: Will Jack Ryan become President of the USA?
Could Jack Ryan become President?
If you have already read all of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan books, then you know that Ryan does become the POTUS. While that may be canonically correct, will the Amazon Prime series follow in the footsteps of the book? It is unlikely, and here’s why. Ryan is one of the best CIA agents and has several accomplishments attached to his name, however, the series, ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ has barely built any foundation for him to become President, so it is highly unlikely it will happen in Season 4.
If there were a few more seasons to this series, it would be a possibility, the chances would be higher, but as of now, Ryan’s focus is too far away from being President. The only way this could be possible is if there is a major time skip towards the end of ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ Season 4 that showcases that time has passed, and Ryan has moved away from the CIA, and into a more political role. Although with all the action fans are used to seeing in regard to Ryan, can he really be envisioned sitting in the White House?
In which book does Ryan become President?
It takes seven books for Ryan to become President of the US, and it doesn’t happen until ‘Debt of Honor.’ So, if we go by that math, it would ideally take seven seasons for Krasinski’s Ryan to become President, but sadly, that won’t be the case as his journey concludes in ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’ Season 4. However, it has been rumored that Harrison Ford is making a comeback to the franchise in a movie that will be adapted from the book ‘Debt of Honor.’ So…if not Krasinski’s Ryan, fans could see Ford’s Ryan become President!
