LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Trey Songz was sued for sexual assault after a woman claimed he 'exposed' her breast from her bikini top without her consent at a pool party in 2013, according to legal docs obtained on Friday. The Bottoms Up rapper, 38, was also slammed with a separate $25 million lawsuit in February after a woman claimed he assaulted her in 2016.

The woman, who goes by the alias Jane Doe, is suing not only the Grammy-nominated singer but also his production firm, record producer Kevin Liles, and Atlantic Records. According to the documents, she claims that the "multiple defendants" are to blame because they should have been aware of his sexual proclivities' and "failed to keep Trey under control during the event." Her attorney, according to TMZ, claims that the woman was 'humiliated' as a result of the incident, which caused her 'long-lasting emotional distress," as per reports.

'This is yet another example of decade-old allegations'

The attorney said that the woman abandoned her 'promising career' months after the alleged attack because of the 'embarrassment' that also followed her. Last year, in 2022, the woman submitted Songz a 'demand letter' regarding the incident, which occurred in 2013 at the Foxwoods Liquid Sundays with Songz event in Connecticut, according to reports.

She is demanding a total of $10 million in damages and has supplied a video of the event. In a statement to TMZ on Friday, Songz's attorney, Michael Freedman, dismissed the charges. He said, "This is yet another example of decade-old allegations being repurposed into a federal case to take advantage of California's constitutionally questionable new lookback window. We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court."

Trey Songz was hit with a $25 million lawsuit

Earlier this year, in February, Songz was slammed with a $25 million lawsuit, which was related to a prior sexual assault complaint that was rejected after the statute of limitations had expired. In legal filings acquired by Rolling Stone, the woman, named Songz, his record label manager Kevin Liles, and 300 Entertainment as defendants, arguing the parties should be held accountable for his acts, according to reports. Initially, the woman submitted a rape allegation in February 2022, alleging that Songz, born Tremaine Aldon Neverson, forced her to have anal intercourse without her consent on March 26, 2016, during a house party in Los Angeles.
