BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Tristan Tate "agreed" to Conor McGregor's inflammatory statement about the death penalty for child molesters. The former UFC two-division legend sparked outrage on social media after making disparaging remarks about the Irish legal system in response to a child abuse case.
After being detained in December 2022, Tristan Tate and his brother Andrew Tate are currently immersed in a judicial struggle. They are facing serious charges of rape and human trafficking, with claims linking them to a criminal business that preyed on and abused defenseless women.
'How we punish crime is needed NOW!'
McGregor recently made an inflammatory statement about the punishment that a child molester received, declaring, "Despicable! A reform of our justice system and how we punish crime is needed NOW! 7 years for this? Are you kidding me? Sickness! This is SICK! Life without parole is the minimum here. Death penalty the ideal, and least costly on the state. Who has the power to change this?"
McGregor deleted his Tweet after he received criticism for his opinions. To the above statement, Tate responded simply by saying, "Agreed."
On Friday, a man, who cannot be identified in order to protect the victim's identity, was sentenced to seven years in prison at the Central Criminal Court after admitting to one count of anal rape, five counts of sexual assault, and one count of child pornography between January 2014 and February 2015. At the time of the crime, the man was 18 years old. The victim was ten years old.
According to the Irish Times, police recovered three Apple gadgets - a laptop, iPad, and iPhone - after searching for the man's home in Munster, including a video of the accused perpetrating the rape in his bedroom. The accused assaulted a boy and had a cache of explicit images and videos of adult males sexually engaging with young boys aged five to 14. The court heard that the man was from a hard-working family. The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) considered the offending serious and a headline sentence of ten to 15 years. Justice Tony Hunt agreed, citing the recording of the rape and age disparity between the accused and the victim.

Tate believes that Twitter's makeover could be a major change in the realm of social media platforms.
