LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix has great content and an even better anime list to its name. While the streaming giant does a great job delivering content from all over the world, it also believes in doing justice to some of the most overlooked animes that deserved to see the light of day. 'Ultraman' is an anime series that not only should be a global sensation like 'Naruto' and 'Pokemon', but also deserves a spot on your watchlist this weekend. The last and final season of 'Ultraman' has dropped and has left us with more questions than answers.

'Ultraman' has been in comic books and on television screens since 1966. It was widely popular in Japan, known for its different take on superheroes, where even though there is a lead, the plot narrates the story of each and every character to do justice to the show.

Defeat is the answer

As we get to the end of season 3 and the ultimate end of 'Ultraman', there are many things that we learn about the superhero and the consequences that ensue once Shinjiro understands that his powers hold more weight than he could ever imagine. Shin Hayata's son Shinjiro seems to possess a strange ability, and it is this ability, along with his father's revelation that he was Ultraman, that leads Shinjiro to battle the new aliens invading the Earth as the new Ultraman. Shinjiro tries to save the world from evil forces but instead vandalizes property and does more harm than good. The plot gets thicker and thicker while leaving enough room for the audience to imagine the future of Shinjiro and his 'Ultraman' clan. In the end, many characters understand that they are part of the 'Ultraman' universe and the people who have been taking care of them are actual aliens. Shinjiro's love interest Rena is also a version of 'Ultraman', which she realizes in the last few episodes of season 3.

Mephisto is here for revenge

In the end, Mephisto comes back to take revenge on the human race and fight the powerful 'Ultraman' or the legendary "Giant of Light." But, as superhero movies go, Ultraman and his different versions take over him to save humanity and the world from getting into the powerful hold of Mephisto. The end seems quite a given, but the animation, plot, and storyline make up for it in the end.

'Ultraman' season 1 to season 3 is now available to binge on Netflix.
