In today's USMNT news, Jesus Ferreira has been linked with Napoli, there is more speculation on Yunus Musah's future and Timothy Tillman is to switch his international allegiance to the United States.
USMNT news: Jesus Ferreira to Napoli
Jesus Ferreira has scored five times in 10 MLS games so far this season for FC Dallas. The young American is expected to make a move to European football at some point. This transfer could happen soon with Area Napoli reporting that Napoli is interested in him.
Napoli has just won Serie A, so a move to the Italian champions would be a big deal. The question is whether or not Ferreira would get regular game time at the club. They currently have Victor Osimhen leading their line but the Nigerian will be in demand from Europe's top clubs this summer.
Ferreira's versatility could be key as he can play as a center-forward as well as an attacking midfielder. The USMNT forward has 18 caps for his county and has scored eight goals. He went to the Qatar World Cup but only played the second half of their round of 16 loss to the Netherlands.
If Ferreira can perform in Italy then he will make a case for himself to be the man leading the line for the Stars and Stripes.
USMNT news: Yunus Musah transfer rumors
It has been reported that Yunus Musah is ready to take the next step in his career and leave Valencia. This is understandable given the Spanish club is 17th in La Liga and only above the relegation zone on goal difference.
Musah was part of Arsenal's academy and has been linked with a return to English soccer. ElDesmarque has reported that scouts from Liverpool, Manchester City and the Gunners have occasionally been to watch the USMNT player. The Spanish website also mentioned that West Ham United, Leicester City and Crystal Palace scouts do not miss any games.
A transfer to West Ham might be Musah's best bet. The Hammers could have European football next season if they win the Europa Conference League. They are also preparing for the departure of Declan Rice and Musah could be a perfect replacement for him in midfield.
USMNT news: Timothy Tillman to switch to America
Timothy Tillman has been playing very well for Los Angeles FC this season. His performances have merited a call-up to the USMNT. However, the player has represented Germany all the way up to the U19 level.
According to The Athletic, "LAFC midfielder Timothy Tillman filed for a one-time switch with FIFA from Germany to the USMNT."
Tillman will be hoping the switch can happen so he can play in the USMNT's Nations League semi-final against Mexico in June. He will then be ready to represent the Stars and Stripes at the Gold Cup the month after. He is the brother of fellow American international, Malik, so the USMNT could have the two both playing alongside each other.
