Today's USMNT news includes Lyon and AC Milan battling to sign Christian Pulisic. Fulham are targeting Yunus Musah and the Stars and Stripes put six past Trinidad and Tobago.
USMNT news: Christian Pulisic to Lyon
Christian Pulisic had looked set to join AC Milan but now Lyon has stepped up their efforts in signing the Chelsea forward.
The Athletic has reported (subscription required) that "AC Milan had made their first verbal offer for the 24-year-old Chelsea winger worth €14million (£12m, $15.3m).
"Lyon's bid is worth €25million (£21.5m, $27.3m) plus a meaningful sell-on clause that is still being negotiated."
A move to Milan would be the preferred option for Pulisic, as they are one of the World's biggest clubs and can offer Champions League soccer. However, at the Italian club, he would face competition for a starting place with Rafael Leao who also prefers to play as a left winger.
Lyon cannot offer European soccer but Pulisic will have a better chance of playing regularly at the Ligue 1 club. At Chelsea, the USMNT player struggled for game time. Moving to a club where he can be a key player should be the most important factor when choosing his next team.
USMNT news: Yunus Musah to Fulham
Another American player who has been linked with Milan recently is Yunus Musah. However, the Italian club are also facing competition for his signature as there is interest from a Premier League club.
The Sun has revealed that "Fulham are bidding to land United States midfield dynamo Yunus Musah from Valencia in a £20million deal."
Milan will be in the Champions League next season but Fulham are without European soccer. Musah spent his youth career in Italy with Giorgione and in England at Arsenal. So a return to a county that Musah used to call home is on the cards for the USMNT player.
USMNT news: Another Gold Cup rout
The USMNT matched their scoreline against Saint Kitts and Nevis as they defeated Trinidad and Tobago 6-0. Jesus Ferreira completed back-to-back hat-tricks as he scored three in the first half.
Cade Cowell made it four after the break with a fantastic solo effort. Then Gianluca Busio slotted the ball into the bottom corner for five. Brandon Vazquez completed the rout in added time with a chipped finish in added time.
B.J. Callaghan's side topped their group as they had a better goal difference than Jamaica. The USMNT are through to the quarter-finals but we are yet to know their opponents.
